1. How do I qualify for my gift?

By purchasing a Post Office Over 50s Life Insurance policy between 5 October 2020 and 28 March 2021 (inclusive); by paying at least 6 monthly premium payments and keeping your policy in force for at least 180 days from the policy start date.

2. When do I get my claim email?

Once you have taken out your policy, please allow a few weeks to receive your “How to Claim” email. Don't worry, though, you're not missing out, as the policy needs to stay in force for 180 days before we can send you your gift.

3. Where will my gift be sent to?

Your gift will be sent to you via the chosen fulfilment method within 28 days of becoming eligible (once your policy has been in force for 180 days from the policy start date and you have made at least 6 monthly premium payments.) For the protection of our customers and to prevent fraud, we may (at our own discretion) request proof of your identity and/or address before providing the gift, and we may not allow it to be provided via email.

4. I have not received my gift, what should I do?

Please allow a few weeks from your policy start date to receive your 'How To Claim' email or letter.

If you have selected your gift, once your policy has been in force for 180 days from the policy start date and you have made at least 6 monthly premium payments, please allow a further 28 days for your gift to be sent to you, via your chosen fulfilment method.

5. I have chosen my gift however, I would now like to change it.

Unfortunately, once you have made your gift selection it is not possible to change your chosen gift.

6. My claim won’t submit, what should I do?

7. I have a question about my Post Office Life Insurance, who can I contact?

For any questions regarding your Post Office Over 50s Life Insurance please call: 0345 266 1484. Lines are open 8am - 7pm Mon – Fri, 9am - 5pm Sat, closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday. Calls to 03 numbers will cost no more than calling a standard geographic number starting with 01 or 02 from your fixed line or mobile and may be included in your call package dependent on your service provider. Call may be monitored or recorded for training and compliance purposes.

8. I bought more than one Post Office Over 50s Life Insurance policy, will I get multiple gift cards?

No, the offer is limited to one gift per person.

9. I bought my Post Office Over 50s Life Insurance policy through a cashback site (e.g. Quidco, TopCashback), so I'm getting a cashback payment. Will I also get a gift?

No, the offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion or offer, so you won't be sent a gift if you've bought the policy through a cashback site.

Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*

1. Is there an expiry period relating to my Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*?

Your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* is valid for 10 years.

2. How do I redeem my Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*?

When you redeem an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*, the funds will be stored in 'Your Account' and automatically applied to your next eligible order. The original expiry date, applies to any unused funds. For full instructions on how to redeem it click here

3. I'm not ready to use my Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* yet, can I save it on my account?

After you've entered the code on Amazon's site, they'll keep the balance in your account for use on future purchases so that you don't need to enter the code again. You can choose to check out without using it when you select your payment method. Simply uncheck the box next to 'Use your Gift and promotional balance'. If you don't see this screen during checkout, you can click Change under the Payment Method heading on the final page before you place your order'. Your available balance will be automatically applied to 1-Click orders.

4. I'm having problems assigning my Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* to my account.

After you've entered the code on Amazon.co.uk, they'll keep the balance in your account for use on future purchases so that you don't need to enter the claim code again. If you're seeing an error message that the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* has already been redeemed, it's likely to be because the code has already been applied to your account. To check whether the funds are already on your account, view your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* balance in ˜Your Account". If you're still having problems, check the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* Terms and Conditions to make sure your order meets the rules and restrictions for paying with an Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*.

5. What if my order is more than the value of the Amazon.co.uk Gift Card*?

If your order total is more than your Amazon.co.uk Gift Card* balance, you will need to pay for the remaining balance with an additional payment method.

Argos Gift Card

1. Can I use an Argos eGift Card or Argos Gift Card online?

Yes, you can use your eGift Card or Gift Card online at argos.co.uk or in any UK Argos store, including those within Sainsbury’s stores.

2. Will my Argos eGift Card or Argos Gift Card have an expiry date?

Yes, this will be detailed on the Gift Card and on the eGift Card.

3. What if my order is more than the value of the Argos eGift Card or Argos Gift Card ?

If your order total is more than your Argos eGift Card or Argos Gift Card balance, you will need to pay for the remaining balance with an additional payment method.

M&S Gift Card

1. Where can I spend my M&S gift card?

Your gift card can be redeemed at M&S stores in the United Kingdom, Eire and the Channel Islands (including Outlets but excluding BP stores) and online (subject to website terms and conditions). They may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the card on payment of the difference.

2. What can be bought with gift card?

Gift cards can be used for most purchases. However, they cannot be used to pay for M&S Bank Services, M&S Bank Products, M&S Energy or outstanding M&S credit card, and M&S More Chargecard balances. They are not accepted for made to measure shirts or personalised cards.

3. Can I use my gift card as part payment?

Yes. Customers can pay the difference with their credit or debit card online or part pay with cash or card in store.

4. How do I use my gift card online?

Upon checkout, you need to click on ‘Change payment or add a promo code’, then select ‘Pay with an M&S gift card’ and enter your gift card number and 5-digit pin.

5. Where do I find my 5-digit gift card PIN?

You’ll find your gift card pin on the back of your card under the scratch-off panel. Please take care when scratching off the panel, as damaged gift cards will not be accepted. Attempting to peel the panel off will destroy the PIN.

6. How will I know how much money is on the gift card I receive?

The letter received with your gift card details the value of the gift card.

7. How can I check my balance?

Gift card balances can be viewed on the M&S website under ‘check balance’ in My Account. You can also check your balance by telephone on 0044 (0)333 014 8443 in the UK and Channel Islands. Local rates apply but please note mobile rates vary. Your balance can also be checked in store by presenting your gift card at the till.

8. Can I get the cash back from my gift card?

E-Gift Cards cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with legal rights. The balance cannot be converted into cash.

9. Is there an expiry period for my gift card?

M&S gift cards are valid for 24 months from the last spend on it. If you don’t use it within 24 months, any remaining balance will be cancelled.
If you have a M&S account, you can check your gift card balance in your account. Just enter your 16-digit gift card number and we’ll tell you how much money you have left on it.

10. What will happen if I return an item purchased with my gift card?

If any product purchased with a gift card is returned, any money refunded will go back onto the gift card used to pay for the item, so it’s important you keep your gift card, even if you’ve spent all the money on it.

11. What happens if my gift card is lost, stolen or damaged?

Your gift card is valuable. Marks & Spencer will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged gift cards. If in any event you gift card is lost stolen or damaged, please contact our customer services team on 01565 747 822.

12. I have not received my gift card, what should I do?

If you have not received your gift card within 28 days of claiming, please contact our customer services team on 01565 747 822.
